January 12th, 2011

Celestron has introduced a self aligning telescope that will find and align itself within 3 minutes of being turned on. One of the biggest challenges people have when using a telescope is the alignment procedure. With this new telescope amateurs will be able to take this unit out to the back yard turn it on and start observing celestial bodies within a few short minutes.

The SkyProdigy with a built in digital camera can connect to a PC as well, allowing you to point the telescope automatically. Scheduled to be released in a few months priced at $800.00
